ABOUT US

"At Victory Village, our mission is to provide a supportive and structured environment for individuals in recovery, fostering personal growth, accountability, and a sense of community. Through compassionate guidance and evidence-based practices, we empower residents to embrace change, rebuild their lives, and thrive in a healthy and substance-free lifestyle."

Victory Village is a sober living community consisting of a 5 bedroom house and 4 additional cottages my wife and I purchased in 2020 for this exact purpose. We are situated approximately 6km from Meyerton in Gauteng, in between Alberton and Vereening.

We found many substance abusers struggling when leaving treatment due to accountability issues, and therefore we decided to create a safe environment for them to live and work from much like a Halfway House.

All research shows a recovering addict’s percentage of maintaining sobriety dramatically increases if they remain sober for 90 days after treatment, and that is where we come in.

We are very blessed to have a HEAL group within reach of us and find great help with attending their weekly meetings and having a close relationship with the leaders there and at our church (Bridge).

Our premises is substance free and all who stay here do so out of their own free will. We do not run a rehab and merely supply an environment conducive to recovery from substance abuse.

About: About Us

How does sober living work?

Well it’s simple really. The deal is, you must stay sober and work a program of recovery. If you get drunk or use illicit substances, you will be asked to leave Victory Village if we deem it necessary.

You are simply sharing a living space with other recovering people. You are essentially renting a room from a landlord and part of your lease agreement is to stay clean.

If you want to maintain independence but stay in the comfort of mid to upscale accommodations, Victory Village is an excellent choice.

Rent starts at R5500 , with all bills paid.
